Devices
Generic devices that checked in by hardware fingerprint or serial. Claim an unclaimed device to a customer portal — it receives a signed assignment and enrolls there. No NVR/camera credentials are ever held here.
Pre-register a device
Reserve a device by serial before it ships. Add a portal URL + enrollment key to pre-claim it, so the box self-provisions on first boot — no manual claim.

Upload a signed portal build to a channel; licensed portals on that channel pull it on their next check-in and apply it after verifying the signature themselves.
Fleet off-site backup (add-on)
Managed off-site backup for customer portals. The core mints a B2 key per customer scoped to one shared bucket + that customer's own prefix. Set the master (manage-keys) B2 key + shared bucket here, then mint per-customer keys from the Licenses list below.
Managed email — SendGrid (add-on)
Turnkey email for customer portals that carry the managed-email add-on. One MSP-owned SendGrid key + a verified From is pushed to those instances on their heartbeat, and they send alert email through it. Customers who configure their own SMTP/SendGrid always take precedence — this is the "we handle it" option.
Fleet target versions
Recommended runtime versions for the fleet. Pushed to every instance on heartbeat; each portal flags proxies whose Node / npm / WireGuard / agent drift below these. Leave a field blank to skip that check.

NVR profile library
Capability profiles contributed by instances — transport, search format, and timing quirks per model. New installs pull these as a seed. No credentials are ever stored here.

Fleet device knowledge
Device TYPES learned across every install — OUI/model to vendor, category, kind (and which MIBs a switch answers). Deduped by key; confidence = how many distinct installs reported it. Type data only, never a MAC, IP, serial, or site. New installs pull this as a seed so they recognise gear out of the box.

AI assistant
Powers the onboarding walk-and-talk assistant on customer portals. Portals proxy their questions here; the core calls the model with THIS key, so customers never need one. The key is write-only, stored here, never returned or shared with portals.

Applying runs the uploaded code on the server and restarts the service. The core is briefly unavailable (a few seconds) during restart.
Off-site backup (Backblaze B2)
Nightly off-site copy of the core's keys + data to a Backblaze B2 bucket. The signing key here is irreplaceable — keep this configured and verified.
